Which type of Funeral or End of Life Ceremony is right for you?

Our funeral home provides a range of funerals and ceremonies to honour life and meet the varied needs and wishes of families. In the absence of specific instructions from the deceased prior to their passing, many families require guidance to explore the options available. We present a comprehensive selection of services to consider.

Traditional Funeral Service

This type of funeral service is quite common in the Western Hemisphere. It is a formal event that often includes a viewing or visitation, typically held the day before the funeral. The ceremony usually occurs at a church or graveside and may feature the embalmed body in an open or closed casket, depending on the preferences of the deceased or their family.

Graveside Funeral

A funeral service held entirely at the gravesite. This can be a stand-alone service or follow a traditional funeral service. It usually includes prayers, readings, and a final farewell before the burial.

Sea Burial

Burial at sea involves placing human remains in the ocean, either by scattering ashes or using a biodegradable casket or shroud. Chosen for its symbolic connection to nature and the ocean, it adheres to regulations ensuring environmental protection and respect for maritime traditions. Ceremonies can range from intimate gatherings to formal services, reflecting the family's cultural and personal preferences.

Direct Burial

A burial service where the body is buried shortly after death without a formal viewing or funeral service. This option is typically more cost-effective and may include a simple graveside ceremony.

Green Burial

This type of service focuses on environmentally friendly practices, using biodegradable materials for the casket or shroud and avoiding embalming chemicals.
